We would really like to applaud the state of Oregon, and their Governor John Kitzhaber, for signing into law a ban on the sale, trade, or possession of shark fins (H.B. 2838)!!!

ReplyDeleteI am a volunteer in Alberta with Shark Savers; we are a global organization that have provided assistance to local teams in support of trade bans of shark fins with successes in numerous areas worldwide. WildAid is one of our partner groups so you may have heard of Shark Savers before.
I feel that given Shark Savers' past successes, we could help rally international testimony and work together towards our common goal. Personally, seeing an Alberta-wide ban would be a dream come true for me.
